Disneyland Vacation-Nov. 4-12, 2010

We made it, now time for some relaxation.

Entering Disneyland

Entering Knotts Berry Farm

This ride is called the Xcelerator. It goes from 0-82 mph in 2.3 seconds and shoots you up 200 feet. It is a rush. Hannah was able to go on it this year. She has no fear.

We took this same picture of Hannah and Dallin three years ago. Crazy to see how things change. Payton did not want to get off this ride either. When the worker came to open the door Payton kept grabbing it to keep it closed.

This was the first ride the kids went on; they remembered going on it the first time we went to Knotts Berry Farm

Dallin was scared to go on this ride, it is called the Sidewinder. After we went on it it though it became is favorite ride and we had to go on it again before we left the park.

This is one of kids favorite rides. When you go around the corners it flings you around. Payton cried when we had to get off, so we went again.

Entering California Adventure

Hannah got to be a part of the HSM 3 production

See you again soon!

Hannah was the Mad Hatter and Dallin was Superman this year. Though it was a cold and rainy while trick or treating the kids had a blast; their cousins were in town and were able to go with them.

Hilary Came to Visit

My cousin Hilary who I have not seen for at least 10 years came to visit for a couple of days. It was so nice to catch up and to spend time together. We all went out for sushi on Friday, Shannon and Josh were able to join us and then on Saturday morning we all went to Hatch's first football game of the season and then we went to a little family reunion at the park later that day. Then on Sunday Hilary left and drove to Idaho to visit her sister.

Hilary, thanks so much for making the drive and coming to visit our family. We love and miss you!

Payton's Black Eye

On Friday afternoon I called Scott to let him know I was on my way home from work and he says to me "your daughter has a black eye." Payton had pulled one of the bar stools down on top of her. She is okay, but boy did it leave a mark.

Payton and Emilie

Emilie Muholland was Payton's assigned parent infant program (PIP) advisor. She came to our house once a week to work with Payton and Scott and I on things we can do to help Payton learn to use her ears :) She would advise us how to talk to her, how to respond to her, games we can play with her and of course we can't forget the 6 ling sounds! These sounds are mm, oo, ee, aa, shh, and ss. The sounds are the hardest for hard of hearing individuals to hear, but if we practice with Payton presenting these sounds to her she'll learn them and be able to use them.

Thank you Emilie for coming each week and working with our sweet Payton. We will miss you, but wish you the best of luck on your new journey :)

dALliN TuRNs 5!

I can't believe how fast this five years have gone! We celebrated Dallin's 5th birthday by going to Syracuse Fun Center. Everyone was able to enjoy one game of bowling; Dallin did awesome for it being his first time. We also enjoyed some cardboard pizza and soda pop. The kids were also able to play the arcade games and win prizes. The party was a success!

Hannah's 2nd Tumbling Costume

On June 23rd Hannah had her tumbling recital. She has come a long way and did a fantastic job. I cannot wait to see what she is able to do this coming year.
